A refreshing Summer Shandy aka Beer Mimosa!

A refreshing Summer Shandy aka Beer Mimosa!

Cool off this summer with our refreshing shandy recipe, often called a "beer mimosa." A shandy is a delightful blend of beer and a non-alcoholic mixer, usually lemonade or juice, resulting in a light, crisp, and invigorating drink. Perfect for those lazy afternoons, this recipe combines the sweet and tangy taste of our Pineapple Mint Shrub with the crispness of beer for a truly unique experience. Enjoy it as a mocktail or pair it with your favorite locally made micro-brew for an extra kick - we love Athletic Brewing Company's Cerveza . It's the perfect companion to a side of ceviche and tortilla chips.

Suggested Pairing: Shrimp Ceviche from Barrio Cafe

This light and tangy shandy pairs wonderfully with the fresh, citrusy flavors of shrimp ceviche. The ceviche’s bright and zesty notes complement the refreshing pineapple and mint in the shandy, making for a delightful combination.

For the shrimp ceviche, you can either visit Barrio Cafe for an authentic experience or try making a similar dish at home. Enjoy your shandy alongside this delicious “pupu” (snack or finger food) for a perfect summer treat!
